EDITED:
I managed to have a little bit of time for myself and I added the splatter (white and black ink) effects to add a little bit of textrure.
ORIGIANAL COMMENT:
Another David Finch ink sample. I did this in a span of a little over a week working on it for about 2 to 3 hours everytime I get home from work.
When I started this one, everything was going fine. My brush was sharp and snappy, my inks were dark and flowing good, and the artboard was flat and smooth... until I broke my own rule. I never spot the black (I only do it with inkwash) in the beginning of the work. I try to do that at the very end. For some reason, my impatience kicked in and started spotting the blacks... what do you know the paper started to warp and that only made it hard for me to do most of the straight fine lines. Then my inks got watery for some reason, and my brush started losing its sharpness and snappiness. that really messed me up because I didn't notice that it was happening.
Anyway, it still looks decent. I'm very lazy when it comes to splatter effects, plus I'm not good with it that's why I didn't use any on this one. Just pardon the night sky and bat signal, I was trying something but it didn't work.
