It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Visionary Studios

This is not really a journal, more like an ad. but not really.

For those comic book artists who has been trying to get their work publish or just trying to get their foot in the business, now here's you chance. A studio called "Visionary Studios" is jus the studio you're looking for. I think for the past few months they've been looking for people to pitch in their work to get publish and artists who can make their stories come to reality. (Cheese! I sounded just like a salesman.)

Anyway, check them out, contact them, ask what the deal really is and you might just like this studio. If you get a gig, and you're really good I might even ink your work (that's for pencilers). If you contact them, just lem them know that you heard their studio from me. No, I'm not gonna get a prize or anything for recruiting people, I just like them (Visionary) to know that eventhough I'm not participating that much, I'm still trying to be a good member.
