I really like the way you created a feeling of depth by placing darker grays and heavier lines on the figure while leaving the backgrounds lighter and sketchier. And putting the darkest shadows around the energy flare from the ring really makes the energy flare stand out. Good job!

Boy, since you're doing the wash, why not just do the wash/gradient instead of line hatching? Besides, the point of doing line hatching is to create an illusion of grays.

Ed, I'm well aware of what you just pointed out, but believe it or not it's like asking me to change my style of inking (even though I know it's not the case). Believe it or not I like the way it looks as well.

I would love to do a monthly book as well, but it's just so hard to get a regular gig against so many good and inkers around the world.
